Unlocked medical foods are powered by our active postbiotic ingredients (APIs): enzyme-rich bacterial husks that actively remove the compounds driving chronic health conditions.
These proprietary, patent-pending ingredients are made from safe probiotic bacteria that we optimized to produce large amounts of active enzymes.
We selected these specific enzymes because of their ability to break down disease-causing toxins in the GI tract, thus directly addressing the root causes of serious health conditions.

Unlocked’s lead medical food is StoneShield - intended for the dietary management of kidney stone risk.
The active ingredient in StoneShield is OX164, a unique enzyme-rich postbiotic designed to actively break down oxalate - the #1 kidney stone-causing compound.
OX164 breaks down dietary oxalate in the stomach, before the body has a chance to absorb it.
StoneShield is powered by OX164, and formulated with cranberry extract, magnesium citrate, and vitamin B to provide additional support for urinary tract health.
StoneShield is designed to be taken with meals to reduce dietary oxalate exposure.
As a medical food, StoneShield is intended for use under physician supervision.

Unlocked Labs is built on deep expertise in microbiology, molecular biology, and metabolic engineering, with a focus on translating enzyme science into effective medical foods products.
In 2020, we identified a gap between the scientific understanding of disease-driving metabolic compounds and the lack of precision in existing probiotic and supplement products.
Unlocked was formed to bridge that gap by developing a platform combining advanced microbial enzyme science, food-grade manufacturing, and efficient regulatory pathways to create targeted medical foods that are safe, scalable, and clinically relevant.
